Sony has produced their most ambitious PDA yet with the PEG-UZ90. While it will only be available in Japan the UZ90 is a multimedia powerhouse that plays MPEG-4 video and both ATRAC3 and MP3 audio. Packing WiFi capability and the first PDA with an OLED screen, the UZ90 is also fitted with a MemoryStick Pro slot (of course) and a CF slot. Priced at the equivalent of $870 (ouch) it’s easy to see why Sony pulled out of the European and North American markets. It seems the Japanese are the only ones who can afford the Clies.
