In UK, the tabloid behemoth The Sun is planning to launch a downloadable mobile Java version of the newspaper, reports NMA.
The publisher believes its brand is strong enough to compete head-on with mobile operator portals like Vodafone Live! and is looking to launch as soon as possible. Mobile Java allows users to download a branded application that sits on the phone and provides networked access to services and content from one place.
The idea, of course, is to bypass operators and NOT pay all that heavy cut to them…
