IDG will establish a new $150 million fund in China in the first quarter of 2005. IDG plans to invest US$2.5 billion in China by 2020…
It plans to invest around 30 percent in wireless communication including handset and communication technology, 20 percent in PC and software services, 10 to 15 percent in e-businesses, including B2B and B2C, 10 percent on bio-tech, and the remaining on new materials. IDG will invest another $50 million in China’s media industry, but the money will come from other sources.
