Online micropayments firm Bitpass has received $11.75 million in its second round of venture funding…
Participating investors include Worldview Technology Partners, Steamboat Ventures (the venture capital arm of The Walt Disney Co.), RRE Ventures and others. Existing investors Garage Technology Ventures, Cardinal Venture Capital and Amicus Capital also participated in the round.
The company, since being started last year, has been quietly expanding its mandate from just micropayments to larger amounts and subscriptions through its rather easy-to-install system, rather than just one-off smaller payments.
