Kevin Bradshaw, the founder of UK mobile gaming company Digital Bridges, is on the roll again…he took on the new position at US mobile gaming company Kayak Interactive early this year, and the company is poised to release its first product…a multi-country mobile multi-player game.
Kayak is one of the companies to be born out of the efforts of the consultancy and venture/incubator firm Machines That Go Ping (MTGP). After leaving Digital Bridges in October 2001, Bradshaw spent six months gathering together a group of international peers who he had met during his career to form MTGP. The firm boasts some of the top names in the entertainment world, including Ralph Simon and Robert Tercek.
Of course, he’s jumping on IPO bandwagon too: “I think this year, we will see the first significant IPO of a mobile entertainment company in Europe and North America. There might be more than one. It’s got to this point where these companies are profitable and raising $40m and $50m in venture capital funds.”
