Associated New Media, the digital division of Associated Newspapers (UK), is now hiring for the role of Communities Editor. In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of reader-generated content across our network of online properties. In addition to the development of our message boards and webchats, you will also play a key role in the product development of new and exciting areas of the network that will enable our readers to engage even further with one another online.
This role involves championing the reader from within, listening to what they want and liaising with our Editorial teams on all sites to ensure that our communities are tightly integrated with everything that we do online and offline in the newspapers. Above all, you will be responsible for making sure that all content remains safe, legal and appropriate.
It is extremely important to us that you are absolutely passionate about all aspects of reader-generated content, particularly that of online communities. You will have a complete understanding of just how the web works, superb written communication skills and you will be highly organised.
This is a very exciting and important position within Associated New Media and we have superb plans afoot for the further development of this area. We need you to spearhead this development.
