Governments in Japan, Germany, Australia and Taiwan are in various stages of passing legislation that will require carriers to protect minors from pornographic or violent content, and British operators have agreed to implement filtering systems by the end of the year. The South Korean government will invest nearly $10 million in the next three years to develop technologies to protect children from lewd content on the Internet and mobile devices.
