BBC has made a clarification (no doubt due to rights issues) on its plans for putting its archives online: it will not allow users to record TV shows online up to a week before they are aired on TV. The statement follows reports that some shows might be aired online prior to TV broadcast.
The trial of the interactive Media Player (iMP), which enables users to watch BBC programmes via a PC or mobile device, remains an “aspirational service“, with “no concrete plans for a roll-out” of the service to the general public, according to this story.
