Comcast’s still smarting a bit form the failed Disney takeover attempt…but it is by no means moping over it. To maintain its edge over these competitors, Comcast is adding exclusive programming – notably video-on-demand and high-definition programming, which satellite broadcasters have a hard time matching. But many analysts say Comcast still needs to acquire more content if it hopes to create a media company that is less exposed to a shrinking subscriber base.
