Continental Divide Over Mobile Music

An interesting juxtaposition of Apple-Motorola announcement on enabling iTunes access on mobiles: Just putting iTunes music content on the phone was not enough for the mobile industry because it did not play to the premium that cellphone users have put on personalization.

By contrast, several services introduced over the past year in Europe – from downloadable songs to customized radio-like music “streaming” to phones – have sought to make mobile network access the key to their music offerings.
