BusinessWeek Online: Marketing Manager

BReporting to the VP Operations for BusinessWeek Online, the Online Marketing Manager will be responsible for site traffic analysis, product and feature marketing, and customer management and development.

Principal Accountabilities:

– Traffic analysis: This position is the point person for internal and third party analytics, understanding the key drivers of traffic and providing key reports that help the team understand the dynamics of the web site.

– Marketing plan and programs: Plan and implement the marketing plan and deliverables to support online initiatives, including, but not limited to support of overall site and specific products such as online only subscriptions. This requires overseeing the creative process where necessary.

– Traffic and customer growth: Utilize all resources to grow traffic and the number of customers coming to BusinessWeek Online. Included in these resources are other BW/McGraw-Hill properties, external marketing, BWOL editorial and online business development.

– Customer database development: Develop the customer database and provide segmentation analysis for marketing initiatives.

– Privacy: Serve as the liaison with M-H corporate on all issues related to privacy and compliance with corporate, state and federal laws.

Other Required Accountabilities:

-Oversee creation of sales support and marketing materials and other globally distributed pieces with the BW marketing group. The position will also interact with the technology team on several fronts that involve the customer, including the need to have a deep knowledge of the registration and billing system among others.

Qualifications

– College degree required

– Must have 5+ years of marketing/project management experience, and knowledge of traditional marketing and advertising fundamentals

– Strong organizational and analytical skills required

– Experience with media brand a strong plus

– Experience with online media a strong plus

– Ability to manage several projects at one time

– Strong analytical ability
