Eliyon Technologies, a Cambridge-based maker of automated content creation search software (that’s a stretch, if you ask me), has raised $7 million from Venrock Associates in its first round of venture funding.
Eliyon’s technology uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to “read” web pages and extract specific information about people, companies, products, services and industries. Customers include AOL, Google and Yahoo.
