Or so the UK-based company claims…The service, which was bought by US service Loudeye earlier this year, will boost its catalogue from 350,000 tracks to more than 1.3 million.
This would make it larger than Apple’s iTunes or Napster, both of which have more than 700,000 songs.
The company has also launched seven new music download services in Europe during Q2, with various retail partners: these are: Ninemsn “Music Club” in Australia; GWR “Hear it Buy it Burn it” in UK; Tonlist in Iceland; Ilse Media’s Download.nl in Holland; Packard Bell “Music Station” in the UK, France & Germany; Oxfam’s “Big Noise Music” charity music download service in UK; and Eircom “Music Club” in Ireland.
