Singaporean mobile content company BuzzCity (it used to be an online portal back in the dotcom days, had some tough times and then moved to delivering content services on mobiles..it has since expanded into China and other markets) said it has closed its third round of funding worth $2.2 million. The funds were raised from existing investor OCBC Wearnes and Walden, and from new investors Providence Investments of the Tai Tak Group of Companies, Malaysia-based Asiawire Consulting and others.
The company operates GAMMA, a mobile services portal with access to a potential 230 million mobile phone users in Singapore, China, Malaysia, Thailand and India.
