) The Berkman Center’s Digitial Media Project at Harvard has released a new study by it students, which considers the legal foundation of iTunes Europe and the interplay of the service with European law. The report examines the implications of the expansion of iTunes on the future of digital media, technology, business strategies, and international law.
“Variations in social norms and consumer expectations throughout Europe
pose a greater, long-term challenge for Apple. The expansion has also indicated that a technology firm formerly in the business of selling hardware and software can influence the music industry.”
