Telecom Italia Media has bought the 40% of Webfin–the company behind the Internet search/portal Virgilio–it doesn’t already own from publishing group De Agostini for EUR287 million.
The original price for the deal had been set at EUR700 million. Telecom Italia Media is paying EUR287 million, plus EUR38 million to cover Webfin’s loss.
