Motorola’s in-vehicle entertainment and info system iRadio, which has been lingering around for a while, is up for a revival. iRadio is the software & subsystems that enable the delivery of broadcast and recorded audio seamlessly across the person, home & car.
The company is hiring a software designer for the project.
The project is now gaining steam due to the proliferation of Wi-Fi (read the story below on a similar venture at Ford), which, combined with in-vehicle audio system with Wi-Fi receiver and Bluetooth, makes for a viable commercial entertainment system now.
