The Director of Marketing/Merchandising & User Experience’s primary responsibility is to maximize purchasing activity among subscribers, customers, registrants and new visitors.
Specifically:
-Building new and enhancing existing web site features and functionality (ex. search, wish list, personalization, gift center, etc.), as a means to improve customer experience/satisfaction, maximize web site visitation and brand engagement/loyalty, extend average customer lifetime, generate additional revenue from existing members and visitors, etc.
-Overseeing on-site product merchandising including home page, category home pages, best sellers, etc. as a means to maximize purchasing and incremental sales revenue. Includes overseeing staff of on-site editors, producers and web publishers who are responsible for copywriting, design, layout and project management related to this function.
-Developing, implementing and tracking performance of weekly email communications program designed to maximize response, loyalty and purchasing among Audible monthly subscribers and customers.
-Acting as a key voice/thought leader on all overall user experience, design, UI issues, look and feel of Audible web site.
-Report to various business units on key sales and revenue metrics as well as identify relevant trends that will impact business development, content acquisition and marketing programs.
-Working closely with customer service to track user related issues, inform web site enhancement based on user feedback via Customer Service, and leverage customer service email and phone communications to increase retention and decrease cancels.
Requirements:
-BA/BS degree in marketing or business-related field.
-7+ years experience managing user experience and/or eCommerce marketing functions for customer-facing web sites (either content, commerce or subscription based service) which includes online and email product merchandising, commerce user experience, customer communication, content publishing, retention and loyalty programs.
-Avid reader and/or expertise/experience in content publishing
-High energy, detail-oriented, motivated leader.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
