Early Adopters Deserting DVD Rentals

(via LostRemote): According to a new report by ChangeWave Research, the movie industry shouldn’t rest on the laurels of DVD sales. Early adopters are beginning to move from DVDs rentals to digital video recorders, VOD and pay-per-view services and, to a lesser extent, DVD-R players, and diverting their spending into these technologies.

The report is controversial, for more reasons than one, as the story explains, and extrapolations from this research would have to be taken with a pinch of salt. But the writing is on the wall, clearly.
