BBC to Open Content Floodgates

Read the first line twice…nature programming. Yeah, we got punked, for now. By the BBC and their lawyers, that is. As I wrote about the Creative Archives project being over-lawyered, it will debut this fall with natural-history programming, including clips that focus on plants, animals and birds.

Anyway, that’s a start, and we need to give them more time…

The BBC archive would only be available to British citizens who pay the yearly TV license fee. Anyone who tries to visit the site through a foreign IP address won’t be allowed to log on.
