In a story about Steve Jobs selling out to Hollywood on the piracy issue (on consumers copying high-definition DVDs), an interesting details slips out: Movielink, the online movie service backed by five major studios, is considering options: Several executives close to Movielink say there has been talk of selling it or bringing in an outside partner to run it. “Each of the studios has its own position, and Movielink is always considering growth options,” says Jim Ramo, Movielink’s CEO.
