Tying Music With Wi-Fi

(via MediaDrop): Where else, but Starbucks. The coffee congolmerate has released a Sarah McLachlan-selected compilation CD through its HearMusic subsidiary…

The twist: Starbucks customers that access the T-Mobile HotSpot service can get multimedia content related to the CD: video content, access digital liner notes and listen to sample songs from the CD.

On that note, it gives me an excuse to slip in a pic about my life over the last month…I had more Starbucks coffee in the two weeks when I was in NYC and SF than I had the whole of my life, as I tried to keep up with work via Wi-Fi…it is loud as hell in Starbucks, so they don’t make it easy, but I guess that’s not their main mission…

And in SF, what’s the deal with power plugs being on the ceiling than on floor level? My theory is they had to retro-fit them in after the Wi-Fi boom…
