(sub. req.) Sirius Satellite Radio is bolstering its programming lineup to take on rival XM Satellite in the race for subscribers.
It has signed programming pacts over the past few months with the National Football League, National Hockey League and National Basketball Association. Sirius officials say more deals are on the way.
“We want to be the destination for sports, and we’ve got a pretty good start,” CEO Joe Clayton told shareholders at a meeting earlier this week.
