Legal Music Sites Break 100 Mark

Worldwide, that is, according to IFPI. It made the announcement as it celebrated the first anniversary of its downloading education website, pro-music.org.

The website features a directory of all the legal services and explains the industry’s legal standpoint on downloading music.

When the site launched in May 2003, there were 20 legal online music sites which offered an average of 200,000 songs. The average site now offers in excess of 500,000 tracks to music fans.
