P2P in Japan- an arresting development

Isamu Kaneko is a Japanese software developer who wrote an anonymizing P2P app called Winny. He was arrested in Kyoto on May 10 and is still under detention in spite of the fact he hasn’t been charged with anything. The nasty side of this arrest is that creating file-sharing software is completely legal in Japan. Guess the major entertainment companies (read Sony Entertainment) have even more clout in Japan than they exhibit elsewhere.
