The Blog in Your Living Room

An interesting point brought up by Joe Wilcox, Jupiter analyst, on content copyrights and how they are being affected by the blog world…”The consumer Web is entering its second decade of existence and still many intellectual property rights issues remain unresolved. I won’t make many predictions here, but I do expect content companies to increasingly look for ways to profit from the Web as more people spend more of their time there. Commercially-produced, rights-protected content is possibly one way. My question: How will the continued proliferation of free, home-grown content affect their efforts? I would look to the generation growing up with the Web for answers, because they may have developed different attitudes about content rights.”
