What did I say about companies beginning to start digital/online ventures again? This time it is ABC News, which has formed a new ABC News Digital Media Group. Bernard Gershon, head of ABCNEws.com, is the head of the new unit as well, and Staci Kramer has a detailed interview with him.
Gershon describes the new group, quietly formed earlier this year, as “an aggregation of all of the pieces of ABC News that are devoted to enhancing the brand and expanding the reach of the product.” It’s a broad portfolio including ABCNews.com, video on demand, pay-per-view, wireless markets and international syndication along with ABC News Productions and ABC News Video Source.
