Not as fishy as it sounds… ESPN and mobile content developer Dwango North America have tied up to launch “Bass-branded” mobile entertainment services to anglers and fishing enthusiasts.
Initially, the two companies will collaborate to launch a subscription-based, mobile multiplayer game under the “Bassmaster Mobile” moniker. Potential future offerings include images, wallpapers, ringtones, video, camera applications, tips from the pros and SMS and MMS apps.
The first game is expected to be launched in Q2 of this year. Agreements with carriers and handset manufacturers will also begin in the near term.
