UK’s newspaper group Associated Newspapers is ramping up the use of mobile interactivity across its titles, considering such next generation services as mobile couponing and loyalty schemes, reports NMA.
The company’s Evening Standard demographic making it the key title for mobile initiatives. The success of SMS for the paper has been demonstrated by rise in SMS entry options for instant win competitions, from an initial 5% to 10%-15% of its circulation. The newspaper is also evaluating mobile couponing promotions with two-for-one offers at local bars.
