Is MLB.com Worth $1Bn or $2 Bn?

What’s a $1 billion here or there? NYT, which first report on MLB’s online division pondering an IPO, said that the division is being valued at $1 billion, while this WaPo story says that figure is $2 billion.

The league’s Internet arm became profitable in 2002 and turns an estimated profit in the low double-digit millions on revenue of nearly $100 million, according to this story.
