More Details on CNET’s Acquisition of Dyson’s Company

As a part of the deal, Esther Dyson said she received a small ownership stake in CNET Networks. “They will get some of my DNA,” Esther Dyson said. “I will get their resources and access to additional readers and a broader scale.” Dyson said the two haven’t decided yet how to integrate the content on CNET’s web sites, or whether online readers will have to pay to read her work.

She she said she expects Release 1.0 to expand and appeal to a broader audience. But not too broad. “Lets face it, it’s not an easy read and it does require you to think,” she said.
