Retail consultant and consumer anthropologist Paco Underhill, author of Call of the Mall: The Author of “Why We Buy” on the Geography of Shopping, believes that half of the music stores now in existence will be gone within five years. “The merchants,” he says bluntly, “are getting sc***d six ways to Sunday.”
