Trio, the U.S. arts and pop-culture TV channel, is launching a new broadband channel online, called TrioPlus…
People intrigued by a TV program can visit the new site to get more, and those who came to the site first could be attracted to watch its televised counterpart, the company hopes.
Variety (sub. req.): Like the channel’s “Brilliant but Cancelled,” which features short-lived or unaired programs from the past, TrioPlus will include a number of Web series that never made it onto PC screens. Among them are a pair of Webisodes from “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone made as part of a $2 million production deal with Shockwave.com that were not aired due to sdult content.
