The first real suing case among the legitimate music services: Rap superstar Eminem, who claims that he could fetch more than $10 million for endorsing a product, is suing Apple on grounds that it used one of his hit songs in a TV ad without permission.
The lawsuit claims that Apple, in a TV ad for its iTunes music store aired on MTV last year, featured a young boy with an iPod portable music player singing the lyrics to “Lose Yourself,” the theme song for his hit movie “8 Mile,” released in 2003.
