TheStreet.com posted its first-ever quarterly profit as ad and subscription gains drove a 24 percent increase in Q4 revenues. Its CEO also predicted the company’s core operations would be profitable in 2004 on higher revenue.
It had a net Q4 income of $154,000, compared with a year-ago loss of $1.2 million. Revenue grew to $7.4 million, from $5.6 million a year ago, and included subscription revenue of $5.1 million, advertising revenue of $1.7 million and $300,000 in commission revenue.
