Audible, the digital spoken word content company, has reported its first quarter of positive free cash flow in the December period.
The company generated $548,000 in free cash flow in the fourth quarter, and picked up 31,000 new customers to bring its customer total to 311,000 by the end of 2003. Total consumer content revenues were up to $5.6 million, up 60% over the fourth quarter of 2002 and 17% over the third quarter of 2003.
Its net loss was $4.4 million, compared to a loss of $3.7 million in the year-ago quarter. Revenues rose to $5.83 million from $3.79 million.
