UK’s Ofcom to Test Drive DRM Vendors

A thing like this can only happen in our dear little England…the govt. new media regulatory body Ofcom is planning an investigation into DRM vendors and solutions, to “help content providers address the problem of online copyright protection at an industry level”.

The regulator believes that since DRM is a big concern for the UK Internet industry, lesser-known copy-protection technologies need to be tested for their effectiveness.

Pray, how about letting the industry sort it out themselves, instead of wasting money on such projects?
