SportsLine.com Q4 loss narrowed sharply as revenue climbed 27% from the year-ago period, driven by increases in advertising and marketing-services revenue and a sharp increase in fantasy football sales.
It has a a loss of $3.51 million, compared with a loss of $9.16 million last year. Revenues increased to $22.78 million, from $17.9 million, as advertising and marketing services revenue from continuing operations rose 19%, and fantasy football sales increased 41% from the fourth quarter of 2002.
From company press release: “subscription and premium services revenue from continuing operations for the quarter to $9.9 million, a 40% increase over the $7.0 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. Subscription
and premium products revenue from continuing operations for the full
year 2003 increased 34% to $15.9 million compared to $11.9 million in
2002.”
