In some heavy restructuring, Napster COO Micheal Bebel is leaving the company. Parent Roxio has appointed Brad Duea, Roxio’s head of worldwide biz dev as Napster’s new president.
Bebel will stay on for the transition period, during which Roxio will move its corporate functions and senior managers from Santa Clara, California, to Napster’s offices in Los Angeles…the company has also appointed Laura Goldberg as Napster’s new COO.
Roxio is consolidating Napster’s operations in Los Angeles, after its acquisition of Pressplay last year.
Reuters: Roxio’s CEo Chris Gorog in an interview on Thursday declined to elaborate on how many jobs would be cut, but said it would be a “small number”. He also declined to comment on whether Roxio would take a charge for the restructuring.
