Microsoft (has agreed to make a tweak to the Windows XP to change the way a user’s browser is launched by the built-in ‘Shop for Music Online’ feature. The U.S. Justice Department said it was a violation of the final judgment in the Windows antitrust settlement.
The Windows XP ‘Shop for Music Online’ feature directs users to Microsoft e-commerce partners hawking sales of CDs. In October, Microsoft denied the design of the feature was in violation of the antitrust agreement.
