Mobliss, a U.S. based provider of mobile content applications and messaging solutions, has been acquired by Index Corporation, a Japan-based multinational company that is a leading provider of mobile phone content and information.
Mobliss worked with Fox Broadcasting and AT&T Wireless on the first and second seasons of Fox’s “American Idol”. Some of Mobliss’ other clients include The Coca-Cola Company, ESPN, FremantleMedia, Tribune Media and more.
The transaction is valued at up to $15 million. In addition, Index will invest an undisclosed amount in Mobliss. The current Mobliss name, leadership and services will remain intact.
