AOL is in talks to buy the popular African-American site BlackVoices.com from Tribune…
A deal for the site would mark a return to AOL for BlackVoices, which debuted as one of the Internet provider’s in-house forums in the mid-1990s. If a deal is completed, AOL is expected to use BlackVoices to expand its Black Focus programming, which launched in May.
It is not known if the company’s magazine, the quarterly BVQ, will be part of the purchase, or what its future will be if it’s not.
