
Data storage firm Imation and retailer Target are teaming with Napster in unveiling a slate of digital music products, coinciding with CES
Imation: It will launch a line of Napster-branded compact discs and DVDs, produced by Imation and sold by Target.
Target: The retailer will launch a digital-music area in its stores and website, where consumers can find Napster and Roxio software, pre-paid Napster download cards, the Imation-made media and CD cases.

In a related development, Napster announced that it is partnering with Digital 5, a maker of content-sharing software, to offer wireless access to its library of digital music to premium service subscribers. Under the deal, users of Napster 2.0 Premium can download files wirelessly onto devices loaded with Digital 5’s applications. Digital 5’s middleware is available in DVD players, televisions and stereo systems
