AOL has announced two in-home networking deals coinciding with CES:
– Digital 5, a maker of content-sharing software, has tied up with AOL: consumers who purchase devices powered by Digital 5 middleware will have the capability to access and stream the Radio@AOL service to their entertainment center…
D-Link, a provider of networking hardware, has also tied up with AOL: its new D-Link Wireless Network Media Players stream Radio@AOL service, beyond the computer and into any room with a TV or stereo. The companies are also working to extend AOL’s You’ve Got Pictures service to any TV in the home.
AOL also said it will use technology from the Liberty Alliance as the sign-in and authentication system for the deal.
