Vodafone is to delay the introduction of a new OS developed by Microsoft, in a setback to the US software giant’s ambitions in the telecom industry. Arun Sarin, Vodafone CEO hinted that Microsoft needed to make further improvements to its system before Vodafone would consider using it in its handsets.
Vodafone is also considering exclusive deals with various content providers — possibly in the music, film or sports sectors — in an attempt to differentiate its service from rivals.
