An Israeli record company, struggling against piracy, say it has launched a pay service for downloading Hebrew music…NMC Music, which controls some 38 per cent of the local record market and commands an annual turnover of $15 million, launched its site, www.songs.co.il, this week, offering Israeli singles for four shekels (90 cents) and albums for 35 shekels.
Unlike other international music services, NMC will offer MP3 music files without restrictions on file swapping.
