In a demonstration before European competition regulators on Friday, RealNetworks showed a little-known version of Windows – Windows XP Embedded, which is licensed only for industrial use – can work without Microsoft Media Player attached, reports NYT. Microsoft has argued that removing Media Player would harm the way Windows works.
