Payment technology provider iPIN is merging with Irish mobile payments company Network365 to create a new company, called Valista, aimed at charging up the electronic and mobile payments market.
While both firms develop payments solutions, each has a different product set and marketplace, and the companies say it was these factors which led to the merger. Network365’s mobile payments solutions have performed strongly in the Japanese and Asian markets. IPIN’s main product is the Enterprise Payment Platform (EPP), an end-to-end electronic and mobile commerce payment technology. The US company’s customers include Vodafone UK; France Telecom’s w-HA, Orange and Wanadoo; Tiscali France; and General Motors.
