Alphamosaic, a UK based company which makes microprocessors to power mobile video, is working with Japanese companies, Tokyo FM and Vitec Corporation on trials on bringing digital TV to mobile phones in Japan later this year. Tokyo FM, a broadcaster with millions of listeners, is launching a terrestrial digital broadcast which will transmit audio, video and data content over the VHF channel, providing an opportunity to test the technology.
