Sohu Profit Jumps On Ads, Messaging

The Chinese Net portal Sohu.com had Q3 profits of $2.67 million, compared with $112,000 in the year-ago quarter. Revenue surged almost threefold to $22.1 million, from the previous year’s $7.5 million.

Revenues from the company’s messaging and other non-ad services surged to $13.3 million, up 248 percent from year-ago levels, while ad sales jumped 138 percent to $8.7 million.
